Our preventative maintenance plan also includes a lifetime warranty on all ice machine repairs, including labor and parts up to $300! With our plan, you’ll be guaranteed to have ice 24/7! If you don’t have ice, we’ll pay for it and deliver it when your machine breaks down, and we’ll quickly send a technician to repair your machine. When you sign up for our preventative maintenance plan, you’re also guaranteed discounts on additional or replacement machines!

We offer a 40% to 50% discount on all additional or replacement ice machines, which adds up to $500 to $800 in savings, depending on brand and size! Regular cleaning will improve the quality of your ice and will prolong the life of your equipment.

Yes! Soft water allows for easier maintenance of your humidifier or steamer. When hard water evaporates, a hard scale forms that can be pretty difficult to remove! Using soft water in your humidifier or steamer will only leave a light residue that can be easily wiped away. Soft water will also help to reduce the mineral buildup and keep your humidifier or steamer functioning properly!

One of the benefits of soft water is that you can use a lot less soap and detergent in your appliances! A good way to adjust to the difference in cleaning efficiency is to use as little soap as possible. Try using a quarter cup rather than the cup or more that may have been necessary before. Gradually increase the quantity of soap used until you get your desired results. A lot of detergent bottles these days have guidelines for how much soap to use for high-efficiency machines, too!

It depends on the volume of water used and what size softener you have! If you have harder water, you may need to refill the system more frequently, though.

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a filtration process where water molecules are forced through a semi-permeable membrane under intense pressure. This membrane only allows water molecules to pass, treating specified contaminants (i.e., arsenic V, barium, chromium, and radium 226/228) and microorganisms (i.e., cryptosporidium and giardia). This technologically-advanced process provides one of the best and most thorough ways to filter water!

Filtering water involves separating mineral particles (i.e., particulates, iron, hydrogen sulfide, or organic matter) from the water molecule, H2O. By passing water through a filter bed (or media bed), these granular particles are trapped, allowing the clean water to pass through.

Soft water is water that contains few or no dissolved minerals, such as calcium, magnesium, iron, and manganese.

Relative levels of hardness have been established:

  • Soft Water: less than 1 GPG
  • Slightly Hard: 1 to 3.5 GPG
  • Moderately Hard: 3.7 to 7 GPG
  • Hard: 7 to 10.5 GPG
  • Very Hard: 10.5 and higher GPG

Softening water involves a process called ion exchange, which will remove the dissolved minerals that can’t be trapped by a standard filter. Softeners use fresh resin beads with sodium attached to the resin. As water enters the tank, dissolved calcium and magnesium are attracted to the resin. The resin will pass up the sodium in exchange for the dissolved chemicals. The water will then be free of these impurities!

There are several things that need to be in order before your new ice machine can be installed!

  • Drain: There must be a working floor drain within 8 feet of the desired install spot.
  • Electric: There must be an unshared outlet with the appropriate voltage for the size machine desired, and this outlet must be within 8 feet of the desired install spot.
  • Water: There must be an adequate water source within 8 feet of the desired install spot, and it must have a shut-off valve, and it must be from a source other than a well. A filter will also need to be installed for the water going to the ice machine.
  • Space: There must be sufficient space to fit the desired equipment.

Why is my water cloudy or milky?

This is an indication of air in the lines, and it usually happens after filter service! Draw a glass of water and let it settle. If it clears after a minute, then it’s just air in the lines! Flush the lines until they run clear. If it does not turn clear, give us a call to schedule service!

My filter was just changed out/serviced, and now my water flow has spurts of air coming out.

This is normal! Continue to run water from the application until all air bubbles are gone. This should only take a minute or so!

My water has a foul taste or odor.

Industry standard requires that filter cartridges are changed out every six months. Central filtration systems (this is a tank that sits on the ground rather than being mounted to a wall) should be serviced every 12 months. Call us to replace your cartridges!

My water tastes salty.

Place the water softener into bypass mode and call for service!

If the system stops after a while, the timer is off and needs to be reset. If it continues to run, this means that your system is stuck in regeneration mode! Place the unit into bypass mode and call us for service.

There are gold or black particles in my water.

There are gold or black particles in my water.

This could be a few different things!

  • Gold or Brownish Particles: This may be an indication of water softener resin in your lines! Place your softener equipment into bypass mode immediately and call us.
  • Black Particles or Gray Water: This may be found after your filter was just changed out or serviced! It could just be carbon in the water line! Flush the application until the water runs clear. If there are still black particles after a couple of minutes, call us for service!

My equipment is leaking.

My equipment is leaking.

Place your equipment into bypass immediately and call us! If the equipment is allowed to keep leaking, this may result in damages that you will be responsible for! Placing the equipment into bypass mode will stop the leak temporarily until a technician arrives. You will still receive incoming water, but it will be city water only.

I have low water pressure at my water/beverage station.

I have low water pressure at my water/beverage station.

Place your filters and/or carbon backwash system into bypass and observe the pressure. If it returns to normal, then most likely your filter cartridges need to be changed out. Contact us and we can service your equipment!

My hot water pressure is low.

Your resin (the filter media inside the softener tank) may need to be replaced! Place the unit into bypass mode and monitor your water flow. If your water flow resumes, it probably is bad resin and it will need to be replaced. Give us a call and we’ll be able to do that for you!

My dishes are spotty.

My dishes are spotty.

First, make sure your water softener is plugged in! If not, go ahead and plug it in and reset the time. If you’re unable to reset the timer, give us a call and request service! Next, check your brine tank and make sure there’s still salt in it. If not, pour some in. The softener will regenerate within 24 hours and this should fix the problem!
